With her latest recording The Sister (2012) released on her own label (Box of Cedar Records), Boston-based Marissa Nadler keeps hand crafting sophisticated and atmospheric dream folk songs. The opening song of the album “The wrecking ball company” beautifully showcases the singer’s trademark haunting voice and finger-picking style on the acoustic guitar.

Also a visual artist, Marissa Nadler has consistently managed over the years to transpose her Gothic and eerie songs into several equally dreamlike videos. The video for “The wrecking ball company” was directed by artist and musician boyfriend Ryan Walsh.
